10. AI and Automated Processing
10.1 How AI Is Used
EQUiD uses machine learning and computer vision models to analyze photos you upload and identify animals. Specifically:
- When you upload a photo, it is sent to our servers where our AI model processes the image to detect and identify the animal in it.
- The AI analyzes visual features in the image (shape, color, markings, proportions) to produce an identification result.
- EXIF metadata (if present in the photo) is used to provide additional context for identification.
10.2 Automated Decision-Making
- Animal identification results are generated automatically by our AI models.
- These results are informational only and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
- If you believe an identification result is incorrect, you can flag it within the App or contact us for manual review.
10.3 AI Model Training
- We use de-identified and anonymized image data to improve our AI models.
- Once data is de-identified, it cannot be traced back to you.
- You can opt out of having your data used for model training by contacting support@dataginc.com.
